QBO Clinic diagnoses QuickBooks Web Connect (.qbo) files in your browser. Bank file contents are not uploaded to our servers during diagnosis or safe repair.
This policy is written to match the product. If a network test shows file contents leaving the device during diagnosis, treat that as a defect and contact us.
When you choose a .qbo file, the browser reads it with the File / ArrayBuffer APIs. Parsing, findings, diffs, and repaired file generation run locally.
We do not write the bank file to Local Storage, IndexedDB, server logs, or object storage. Refreshing the page clears the file and report.
We never ask for your bank login. We do not call QuickBooks or bank APIs in this product.
If you create an account or pay for Repair Pass / Bookkeeper, we collect:
Analytics, if enabled, may receive only non-content events such as:
Analytics must not receive file names, file bodies, account numbers, routing numbers, FID/BID values, FITIDs, amounts, dates, or transaction descriptions.
Microsoft Clarity session recording is disabled. We do not record the report DOM.
Sign-in and payment providers may set cookies required to complete checkout. Those requests still use the network. This website is not “offline-only”; the privacy claim is that your bank file never leaves your device during diagnosis.
If we invite a redacted sample for regression testing, that uses a separate page and explicit consent, with a stated deletion period. Diagnosis itself never uploads the file.
We do not sell bank file data. We share account and payment data only with processors needed to run authentication and checkout, or when required by law.
